Our Favorite Toy: Water Bottles
With Ben, Graham and Grace’s birthday next month, we’ve been trying to come up with some new toys to purchase to celebrate the occasion. But after watching them in the baby pool yesterday, all they need (or want) is a few empty water bottles. Done!

Sam loses his 1st tooth
On our last night in NYC, Sam declares that his tooth hurts. Scott goes to inspect and sees that Sam’s middle, bottom tooth is very lose. A few hours later, I’m in the bathroom with Sam pulling out his tooth as it was to lose to leave in while he slept. Sam was very proud to show off his new tooth. Immediately, I go into a slight panic as our handmade (thanks Mom) tooth fairy pillow was in Texas . Luckily, Betsy said she had one at the beach in NJ so we decided to wait a night to place his tooth under his pillow for the tooth fairy. The Sheehan and McCeney kids were VERY excited to have the fairy visit their home for the first time. Sam received some treasured coins and a few dollars and the rest of the kids were green with envy. Ben even asked us to pull one of his teeth. Soon Ben, soon.

New York City Adventure
We had such a blast hanging out with Jim & Greg in NYC last week. The boys enjoyed riding the various public transportations (cabs, subway, ferry & bus) and running through many great parks. We hit up the Central Park Zoo, FAO Schwartz, Intrepid, Highline and Statue of Liberty. What a great few days!

Astros Time
Even though the Astros lost (again), Scott, Sam and Ben still had a fun time cheering them on this past Saturday. Sam watched every movement on field while Ben spent most of his time dancing to the stadium music. They enjoyed ice cream, popcorn and are already talking about “the next time Dad takes them to an Astros game”.
4th of July Parade & Carnival
The Sheehan Six had an awesome July 4th. We kicked the day off with a parade and carnival in our neighborhood.
Sam & Ben rode on ponies.
We decorated the boys’ bikes and the twins’ wagon with red, white and blue and walked in the parade.
And discovered that even when Ben is too small to make it up the high bounce house climbing wall…that brotherly teamwork (and a little push from Mom) is all you need to make it to the top.
It was the perfect way to kick off such a festive day.

And...she's off!
Grace took 5 steps this afternoon. She was so proud (as was I) and now wants to practice, practice, practice her new trick. Go Grace!

Ben the Goldfish
Ben finished his two week session at the Houston Swim Club. He had a rough start to the lessons but by the end of the 2nd week he was floating on his back independently, kicking with the barbells and happily playing and blowing bubbles in the water. The best part of his last class, was when he yelled "I did it" all the way across the pool when he went down the slide and landed on the floating mat. Scott and I couldn't help but laugh.
St. Luke's Parade
Sam and Ben were in their first July 4th parade at St. Luke's yesterday. All of the kids looked so cute in their red, white and blue.

G&G are on the move
Over the past few weeks, the twins have become very mobile and brave. They are crawling, pulling up and cruising with ease. Grace can stand unassisted and has taken a few steps (though Scott says she needs 3 steps in a row to call it walking).
It's truly a powerful and amazing thing to watch twins playing together. Usually at this age, babies do not acknowledge another baby in a room. But multiples always know when their sibling(s) is in a room and will automatically gravitate towards them.
