Ben turns SEVEN!

On the 2nd day of school, our big hearted Ben turned seven. He celebrated in the morning with his friends at school. Since the first week of school is all half days, he spent the afternoon swimming, playing nerf wars and just hanging out with his best buds. Happy Birthday to our Sweet B!

Back to School

It's hard to believe that we made it to this point in time. ALL four kids in elementary school at Rockenbaugh Elementary. Sam is in 4th grade (Ms. Ewers), Ben in 1st grade (Ms. Smith), Graham in Kindergarten (Ms. Burgess) and Grace in Kindergarten (Ms. Stapp).

Everyone survived and enjoyed their 1st week of school. This week is all half days so we'll see if the "love of school" mood changes when they go to school 7 hours / day.

We're looking forward to a great year!

Meet the Frogs!

It took us almost 3 hours to finally come face-to-face with our 2 favorite frogs, Coach Patterson and Treyvon Boykin. It was a fun experience even with the wait. A bunch of older kids created a football game to kill time...and the little ones enjoyed running up and down the beautiful indoor facilities!

We even got a quick photo with a hometown, Dragon quarterback, Kenny Hill!

And no trip to Fort Worth is complete without a trip to Joe T's!

Meet the Teacher!

All four of our children are at one school this year! It's exciting but definitely the end of an era.

Meet the Teacher was a success. I was lucky to get pictures of 3 out of 4 teachers as I attended 4 different classrooms in 30 minutes. Grace has Ms. Stapp (Ben's teacher last year), Graham has Ms. Burgess, Ben has Ms. Smith (who is due with her 1st child in early November) and Sam has Ms. Ewers.

I was under such a time constraint because our Spirit Shop also opened the door for the first time during Meet the Teacher. Our labor of love for our children's school was a huge success!

We're looking forward to a great year!

Grace & Graham Turn 5!

Happy Birthday to the greatest surprises of our lives. I still remember that day in Dr. Dryden's office when she discovered not one but two babies on the ultrasound. I was terrified & not sure if we could handle the task of twins (with 2 more young children already at home). But somehow we survived & I cannot believe Grace & Graham turn 5 today. What joy you both bring to our lives. You guys were definitely the icing on the cake for our family. Happy Birthday G & G! May all your dreams come true!

Amazing Trip to Rosemary Beach

Life is great at the beach!

We just got back from a week long trip to Rosemary Beach. It was the best trip our family of six has ever experienced.

We swam in the ocean, looked for sea creatures in the clear waters, built sand castles, rode on paddle boards, boogie boarded, spent endless hours in the pool, ate most meals outdoors, hung out with Southlake friends in Destin, ate tons from the Sugar Shak, watched a movie outdoors, got face paintings, bought lots of junk from gift shops & just enjoyed spending time together.

It was the perfect ending to a great summer!

Great vacation to Houston & Galveston!

The kids and I just returned home from a 6 day trip through Texas. We hit the highlights and left with full hearts!

Every trip (these days) begins with Buc-ee's!

Then 2 nights with our favorite Anthony Family in Houston.

Sam's best bud from Houston, Griffin, even spent the day with us!

It isn't a trip without a major game of Pictionary!

I so adore these kids! They didn't skip a beat in their reunion!

After leaving Houston, we headed to NASA!

That trip was followed quickly by Galveston.

I always love finding selfies of the boys on my phone.

Every night we headed to the beach for Sunset.

These amazing kids are our everything!

I wish I would have gotten a picture of Mike driving the kids around.
He was certainly their golf cart chauffeur over the 3 days in Galveston!

Looking for crabs on the beach!

When everyone left Galveston, we headed to the Doubletree for the night.
The kids loved their pool & the Shirley Temples.

Our view. Grandma found us a great hotel!

The kids have asked us about the Sam Houston statue for years.
We finally stopped and checked it out!

All and all, it was a fabulous trip. I have never been on such a trip (solo) with the kids. They had a great time and so did I. We all returned home exhausted. Thank you to the Anthony's, my mom & Mike and Deta for such a wonderful few days for us. These memories we won't soon forget!
