I'm SO proud of Sam, Nicholas and the rest of the 2nd-4th grade running club at Rockenbaugh. They ran a 5k this morning as a grand finale for the running club they attend after school on Mondays. Sam crossed at 35:05 with a smile on his face. They were some of the first 2nd graders to cross the finish line. Go Rockenbaugh Go!

Rocky Top Ranch
It was so much fun to go to Rocky Top Ranch with Ben and his classmates.
Hay rides, horse back riding and miniature horses. Such a great morning!
Superstitious
I am trying to let go of my superstitions, but it's hard when I attend a Fever soccer game and Sam never scores and when I stay home with the little ones, he scores a goal. I'm so proud of his most recent goal. Go Fever, Go Sweet Sam!

First Slumber Party
Sam had a birthday slumber tonight at a friend's house tonight so we decided to let the rest of the kiddos have their own slumber in the big boys room. Pizza, movie and a few giggles followed by lots of snoring. I think it was a great success!
Here come the Dragons!
I thought we signed Ben up for T-Ball. The first inning, each player hit off the tee. Then Ben stepped up to the plate in the next inning and I noticed that one of our coaches was kneeling down so he could pitch the ball. I'm suddenly nervous. The first one flies over the plate, Ben swings and misses. The nerves get stronger as I've never seen Ben actually hit a baseball thrown to him. The second ball is thrown and Ben swings with all his might and HITS the ball. Scott and I look at each other in shock. Did Ben just hit the ball? Yes!!!! Cue to his next time up to bat and the exact thing happens. He was proud and we were so thrilled for him. I've guess we've got a baseball player on our hands. Go Ben Go!
He had this exact smile on his face for the entire game.
Ben really wanted to slide into home plate.
He didn't quite master it today, but he sure had fun trying!

Let's go fly a kite (at Rockenbaugh)
It wasn't very windy but Sam did his best to get his kite to fly at Rockenbaugh today. Basically it meant running non-stop for 30 minutes while Ben, Graham and Grace chased him. Such a great way to end a busy school day.
Three Billy Goats Gruff
This afternoon, Ben's TK class presented a retelling of Three Billy Goats Gruff. They had a handmade backdrop, hand made props and each student knew every single word of the story. It was 100% adorable and we (Grace, Graham and I) loved every minute. Go Ben! Our special star!
