Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day has taken on a whole new life now that we have children.  I always thought it was a silly "holiday" as an adult, but I do love having a special day to show our children just how much we LOVE them.

Making Valentine's for all of their class friends.

Our Valentine's Day card.

Grace received her first delivered flower.  I love that Scott addressed it to "My Littlest Valentine".  Her excitement when it arrived was amazing.  Job well done, Dad!

Sports Time

Thursday nights just got rowdy.  Sam (and Coach Scott) has lacrosse practice and Ben is on "Team Purple" for t-ball.  They looked so cute (and proud) in their practice uniforms and ALL their gear as we loaded up for practice.

Jump Rope for Heart

Sam, and the rest of Rockenbaugh, raised money for the American Heart Association during the month of February.  Yesterday, we watched Sam's class put on their jump roping competition.  It was pretty cool and Sam & I even did a two person jump rope.  The little ones loved watching Sam at "big school" and we all loved cheering him on.

SNOW Day

It's been a crazy season for weather.  But luckily this time, we got snow (instead of ice)!  Sam was at school during the beginning part of the snow storm but the 3 younger ones enjoyed every snowflake.  My personal highlight was watching Ben teach Grace & Graham how to make their first snow angel.  But each of the kids have their own special moment.  Overall, they would probably say building our snowman (the world's smallest) was their highlight.  Each child helped gather snow to build him and I finished him off when they became too cold and watched me complete him off from the warmth inside.  We loved every minute of this snow day!

Sam is 8!

Eight years ago (make time stop), Scott and I welcomed our sweet Sam in Durham, NC. I never imagined that my heart could love someone so much. He's the BEST, most tolerant, most helpful and loving big brother that his siblings could ever hope for. His positive attitude and willingness to try his best every day truly inspires me. Happy birthday, bud! I hope it's "the best day ever" (as Sam says)!

Merry Christmas
