Science Day at Rockenbaugh!

The kids were so excited that they got to perform science experiments ALL DAY LONG at school last Friday. Their highlights included: hanging out inside giant bubbles, working with magnets to create moving objects and seeing who could holding the heaviest object with a straw structure made in minutes. Such a fun & educational day!

Graham's weekend with Traveling Teddy (Ms. Burgess' class)

Graham got to show Traveling Teddy around town for the weekend. He had a great time! His travels included: hanging out with Grandma (at the house & Chuy's!), eating a slice of chocolate cake in honor of Scott's birthday, eating Shipley's donuts, riding a horse at Evan's birthday party and selecting a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. Graham is so sad to see Traveling Teddy head back to school.

Happy Birthday, Scott!

It was a great weekend to celebrate Scott! My sweet Mom rearranged plans so she could come watch the kids while Scott & I snuck away for some R&R at the Four Seasons. Scott has been working so hard & it was such a wonderful 2 days spent celebrating him and all that he does and sacrifices for our family each and every day. We adore you so much, Scott! HBD from your biggest fans!

Grace's week with Traveling Teddy (Ms. Stapp's class)

Last week was Grace's week with Traveling Teddy. The bear goes everywhere with each classmate for a week and then a book is created with all of the bear's adventures. Teddy had a great time with Grace. His adventures included: a block party in our neighborhood, cheering with Grace's cheerleading squad (where she won the spirit stick for most spirit at practice & the game), watching Grace score 2 goals for her soccer team (Team Titans), heading to the TCU football and attending the Homecoming Parade in the Town Square. Traveling Teddy must have been exhausted after the end of his week with The Sheehan Family!

Entrepreneur Day

The 4th grade class at Rockenbaugh created mini stores at school last week. Over the course of a few weeks the students had to create a business, promote it through signage & make change for what was sold. The younger grades each brought in a maximum of $2 / student to purchase items priced between $0.25-$1.00. All proceeds were ultimately donated to a local charity. What a fun morning for all!

Walk to School Day!
