Happy Birthday, Scott! We loved spending your actual birthday at the TCU game and it was great to hang out with some good friends that following weekend. We hope you felt how much we love & appreciate you!

Color Run

We cannot catch a break in the rain. It has rained & rained & rained for weeks. Our original Color Run had to be postponed so it ended up happening during the school day. We missed doing this colorful event as a family but I know the RES kids had a blast!

JUNK N' STUFF Vol. 2

At school, Ben has been learning about money. They were lumped into groups of 3 classmates and were tasked with starting a business that would interest kindergarten students. They opted for Junk N' Stuff Vol. 2 (Sam did the original Junk N' Stuff when he was in 4th Grade). I, personally, loved it because it cleaned out all of the junk in our playroom. The kindergarten students loved buying their items & I was impressed with Ben's selling ability. The 4th Grade students made over $1,000 combined and they donated it to a local charity.

Labor Day Weekend

Ben was finally old enough to go on the bird hunt to Paloma! This is a yearly tradition that I love. Scott, Paw Paw, Sam and Ben headed out for a long weekend adventure where they enjoyed riding on buggies through the wide open, quiet spaces and ate a ton of delicious food. What a weekend.

Grandma, Grace, Graham and I headed to Galveston. Even with lots of rain, we managed to get in beach time. We also had a great adventure to Moody Garden and loved shopping (we even bought a few umbrellas) in downtown Galveston. We ended the weekend with Arlen, Jen, Van & Bella on a dolphin watching tour in the bay. There are always lots of laughs with this crew!

Ben's 4th Grade tackle football team got to scrimmage some local teams at Cowboys Stadium. It was awesome to watch him on the big field!

August Birthday Celebrations

Birthday Celebrations snuck up on us this year! So, instead of a party we did mini adventures with some best buddies. We started with the chocolate piñata at Uncle Julio's.
