Family Fun Day in Fort Worth
There is NO better day than when we get to spend it as a family of 6. The weather was perfect so we drove to Fort Worth where we spent the morning at the FW Zoo and then took the kids to Joe T Garcia's for a late lunch. We didn't return home until 2:30pm. I could repeat this day over and over and over again.
Easter Bunny at Krispy Kreme
It was such a fun surprise to see the Easter bunny when we picked up donuts at Krispy Kreme yesterday. The boys LOVED the Easter bunny and wanted to talk to him for hours. Grace wanted to stay as far away as possible...but did get close when he offered her a stuffed egg. She's definitely my child!
Easter Egg Hunts with White Chapel Classmates
Ben + Grace & Graham had their Easter Egg Hunts with their classmates last week. It's always a hilarious and fast paced event where the kids try to shove as many eggs that they can find in their baskets as quickly as they can. All of the kids had such a fun time with their friends and loved tearing open their eggs as soon as they got home to see their treasures.
Ella comes to visit
Yay! Noah finally weighed enough to have his surgery which is such a relief for my sweet cousin, Lindsey. While they were at the hospital in Dallas with Noah, we had the pleasure of watching Ella for a few nights. All of the kids were so excited, but none more than Grace. It was a great few days of 2nd cousin bonding! Noah's surgery went smoothly and he's doing great. We hope Ella will come visit us again this Summer...we miss her already!
UNC: Our Favorite Basketball Team
It's the NCAA Tournament so that means we dig out all of our Caroline Blue clothing to cheer on our favorite basketball team, UNC. Unfortunately, they ended up losing their game but we had fun anyway.
Dying of the eggs
My parents came to town last weekend to cheer on the boys at their various games. But Mother Nature had other plans and it ended up raining the entire weekend. So, we went to plan B which included one of our favorite holiday traditions, dying Easter Eggs. The kids had a great time and we ended up with a ton of vibrant eggs all ready for the Easter Bunny to hide!

Bye, bye pacis!
We said a long coming goodbye to the pacis this morning! It feels SO good to be free of that addiction (even if it means a few extra breakdowns in the short run). Now I just have to hope and pray that the balloons don't end up floating back down to our house because I don't think the twins will be so willing to let the balloons & pacis go the next time around.

Handmade with Love
Every time I look at these adorable pots, I can't help but smile. The kids made them (with a little help from Mimi) while they were in Austin last week. I placed them on our side entrance so we can enjoy them everyday. I just love how colorful and unique each pot turned out.

Twin Toes
Last night, I decided to paint my toes and Grace wanted in on the action. She was hilarious walking around carefully while they dried. She's very proud of her fancy toes. I love it (and so does Grace)!

Dinosaur World
After picking up the kids from Aimee in Waco today, we headed to Dinosaur World in Glen Rose. Ben and Sam were super excited and literally ran from dinosaur to dinosaur reading about the particular dinosaur and then asking to get their picture made with the dinosaur (the last part got a little ridiculous). Grace & Graham were a little tired (it was naptime) and weren't really sure what to the think about the life-size dinosaurs, but they seemed to have a good time as well. It was a nice afternoon together as a family.

Working...and working some more!
Scott and I worked and worked and worked until we had nothing left on our immediate To Do list (yippee). I bet most people would not spend 4 child-free days like this, but we did...and it feels amazing! Below are all of the projects we accomplished (the pictures are on order from Shutterfly...I promise we won't leave them with pictures upside down). A HUGE THANK YOU to Pat and Aimee (and everyone else in Austin...Kathy...and I'm sure a few more) who made all of this possible. Our home finally feels like HOME!
Painted shutters (pink & blue, of course) and hung them as headboards in the twins' room. Hung a fire station picture on Graham's side (he will freak out).
Hung a chalkboard in the playroom.
Hung picture frames in the playroom (new pictures to come).
Refinished a dresser for the guest room & hung a mirror.
New carbon monoxide detector upstairs (my husband rocks).
New picture frames in the boys' rooms. I'm going to replace the existing pictures with pictures of them playing sports.
Hung a mirror in the boys' room.
Hung a mirror above the fireplace in the living room. I'm thinking about painting it...but the gold is growing on me.
Refinished this amazing piece that we will use for a while as our TV stand.
In addition, we cleaned every square inch of our house and went through every toy and piece of clothing in the kids' rooms. I can't believe we accomplished all of this in 4 days and even had time to sneak in mexican food and margaritas at night. Now is the time to come and visit us before our kids mess up all of the our hard work!

Rainy Kite Flying Day
We've had blue skies all week, but they decided to leave when it came time for Mrs. Clardy's class to fly kites this afternoon. It made things a little more difficult, but all of the kids were able to get their kites flying for 15 minutes (or so). During this time, Sam managed to get his kite stuck in the tree. This is what happens when you're chasing your friends and not watching where your kite is flying in the meantime. Fortunately, we got in unstuck and Sam was able to continue flying. It was a fun (and wet) day for all!

Trying to sell a house with 4 kids and a dog is quite an experience. On Friday, we had four showings between 1 - 5 pm (yep...naptime). So,...
