Cannon Beach, Oregon ... Anna is FORTY!
It's been 2+ years since Scott and I left for an alone vacation. And it was wonderful that Scott found this slice of heaven (my new favorite place) to spend a few nights in honor of my fortieth birthday. With 4 kids, our focus is always on them...taking care of them. But while my parents dealt with that side of our family equation (thank you, thank you), Scott & I spent 5 amazing days being reminded why we got married in the first place. We walked on the beach, hiked in the mountains, read books on the patio, spent hours on end in silence. It was amazing...it was refreshing. Thank you to everyone who made my fortieth amazing. It's a wonderful life!

Grandma & Grandpa came in town last weekend to watch the kids while Scott & I jetted away to celebrate some R&R for the week. But before we left, an egg hunt & Mexican food sounded perfect!
