Grandma-ia to the rescue!

This was a jammed packed weekend full of 1st grader sleepovers at Rockenbaugh, football games and lacrosse try-outs. Scott was out of town, so I asked my mom to come and help me out.  The kids and I could not have survived Saturday without her.  Both Grace and Graham were completely obsessed with my mom, and she somehow found a way to spend quality time with both of them...all while having a huge smile on her face.  The older I get, the more I appreciate having her in my life.  I love you mom!  Thanks again for all of the help.  We love you and (Grace mostly) miss you.

Lacrosse!

There is a LOT of excitement in this house that Sam is finally old enough to play lacrosse.  He's had a practice and a "try-out" so far and is loving it.  I would say it's his most challenging athletic experience to date, but he loves to learn and I think, with time, he'll learn to love the sport.

Fun on Bikes

Our kids love to be outside, and what better way to burn off a little energy than a family bike ride.

The flu

The flu took quite a toll on our family last week.  Ben got it first and then Scott and I got it at the same time.  He was such a sport when he was quarantined, and found a way to enjoy a little face time with his brothers.

Mrs. Clardy's Class - January Birthdays

The January birthday group in Mrs. Clardy's class had a great time celebrating their birthdays last week.  They enjoyed cupcakes & ice cream and within 20 minutes, the sugar intake produced this photo.  Happy Birthday, sweet Sam!

Go Dragons!

Going for a little ride

Santa brought Graham this bike for Christmas, but his legs aren't quite long enough.  Instead of having it sit in the garage unused, Ben hopped on and started taking G&G for rides around the car.  This went on for 30+ minutes which is the best gift Santa could ever bring me.

Princess Grace

Her latest request is to "put my hair up".

Darth Vader Triplets!

The boys loving wearing the Darth Vader shirts that the Anthonys gave them for Christmas.  If one puts it on in the morning, they all have to wear theirs too.

Exhausted!

Since NYE when the twins stayed up SUPER late (9 p.m.) they have been sleeping champs.  If you've been around our kids at all, you know that Grace has always loved to nap and Graham (while he will play in his room and not come out) won't go to sleep during nap.  So, you can imagine my surprise when I went into their room yesterday and found Graham asleep with his arm and leg over the railings.  As I banged around cleaning up the mess he made before he passed out, he rolled over and snuggled Clifford (thanks Mimi and Pop).  There's nothing sweeter than a sleeping child!

Weeeee!!!!

On Thursday, we met some friends at an indoor bounce house place.  They liked the bounce houses and obstacle courses, but their favorite activity was by far the slides.  Once the little ones figured out that they could climb up the stairs by themselves, they spent the next hour (plus) climbing and sliding.

Sam is Seven

Honestly, it's hard for me to write that.  Sam.is.seven!  How on earth is that possible?!?  He is growing up to be such a smart, confident and wonderful big brother.  I have enjoyed getting to spend so much time with him during the holiday break.  Today we enjoyed a little birthday celebration at home.  Since we aren't doing a big party this year, I wanted to make our family celebration extra special.  The celebration always begin with a few personalized decorations.

While Sam opened one gift, Grace was next to him opening up another one.  Thankfully, Sam was a really good sport about it.

His two favorite gifts?  Money!

And football cards + a football card album (thanks Grandma & Paw Paw)

And a party is never complete without Mom singing a solo of Happy Birthday on video (notice Graham's dancing).

Happy Birthday, Sambo Yaya!

Rise of the Guardians

For Sam's birthday, he wanted to go to the movies with a few of his new friends.  So, we loaded up as many boys as I could fit in my car and headed to Rise of the Guardians today.  They were a little hyper from being off school for a few weeks, but they are a great group of kids and it was a pleasure to hang out with them for a few hours today.

Squaddling Baby Jesus

Yep...that's what Ben and Grace say they are doing.  They are squaddling (swaddling to most of us) Baby Jesus.

Dad versus the kids

The kids quickly take advantage of their worn out Dad on a weekend morning.  Scott was a good sport allowing them to gang up on him.
